On 24th June 2026, the National University of Management organized a Public Seminar on “Cambodia’s Graduation from Least Developed Country (LDC) Status: Opportunities, Challenges, and Implications for the Younger Generation” presented by our distinguished guest, Dr. Daniel Gay, Former UN Economist, and under the presidency of H.E. Prof. Hor Peng, Rector of the National University of Management. 

The seminar explored Cambodia’s progress toward LDC graduation, the opportunities and challenges ahead, and what this transition means for young people and the country’s future development.

Beyond research, the internship is also a chance to learn by doing. Some of the opportunities available to interns this year include:

1) Conducting fieldwork in various provinces, including Siem Reap, Kampot, Mondulkiri, and Rattanakiri;

2) Analyzing data collected from fieldwork and secondary sources;

3) Developing critical thinking, reading, and writing skills under the mentorship of senior academics and government officials; and

4) Learning how to collaborate effectively as part of a research team.

It's a good opportunity for students who are interested in research and would like to gain some hands-on experience outside the classroom.

On June 12, 2026, the NUM Student Research Club held Week 13 of Seminar 1 at the CamboVerse Center, NUM International Campus.

This week's seminar featured final thesis rehearsal presentations by 𝐢𝐁𝐁𝐀 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 in preparation for their thesis defense, as well as research progress updates by 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬. The presentations were followed by feedback, recommendations, and guidance from 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐡 to support the students' academic and research development.

On 11 June 2026, as part of the consultation workshop on “𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚”, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐕𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚, Director of the ASEAN Economic Research Institute (AERI), and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐓𝐢𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐲, Researcher at AERI, contributed to the exchange of expert perspectives and stakeholder consultations on Cambodia’s demographic transformation and its implications for socioeconomic development. Representing AERI, they engaged in discussions to support evidence-informed analysis of Cambodia’s demographic trends.

The Research Team of the National University of Management (NUM), led by H.E. Dr. Hor Peng, Rector of NUM, was honoured to meet with H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport.

This meaningful meeting provided an important opportunity for the NUM Research Team to receive valuable guidance and encouragement for strengthening academic research, institutional development, and evidence-based contributions to Cambodia’s education and policy landscape.

On May 13, 2026, the NUM Student Research Club held Week 12 of Seminar 1 at the Camboversе Center, NUM Vealsbov Campus.

This week’s seminar featured a thesis progress presentation by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐫. 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐡, on "Vulnerability of Micro-Merchants to Digital Payment Fraud Scams in Phnom Penh Local Market."

The seminar also featured a presentation by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐬. 𝐋𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚, on their project titled "SMAK JIT".

The presentations were followed by feedback and recommendations from the supervising professor.

From 5–8 May 2026, Dr. Nop Kanharith, Director of the School of Public Policy and NUM SCALe Project Manager, and Ms. Tie Porly, Researcher at AERI and SCALe Project Member, joined the mission in Malaysia.

On 5 May 2026, the team joined the Design Thinking Workshop with Master’s students from UiTM. During Session 6, each NUM representative led a student group to identify key challenges in Kuching, analyze findings, and develop innovative solutions. This workshop provided an important platform for knowledge exchange, problem-solving, and regional learning.

On 6 - 7 May 2026, participated in the International Conference on Sustainable Smart Cities (ICSSC) 2026, visited UiTM Campus 2 and final project meeting.

On 8 May 2026, joined a post-tour activity in Kuching, providing further opportunities to networking among SCALe Project members.

This mission contributed to strengthening collaboration, and knowledge exchange, among ASEAN higher education institutions.

May 9, 2026, 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝟑 of the course has successfully concluded at NUM Main Campus, Meeting Room A, in partnership with 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈 & 𝐒𝐏𝐏), 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 (Canada), and supported by 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐅 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚.

Participants completed their final group presentations and assessment, showcasing strong engagement and collaboration throughout the program.

From May 5–7, 2026, Associate Professor Nop Kanharith of NUM-School of Public Policy and Ms. Tie Porly, a researcher at NUM-AERI, participated in three key events in Sarawak, Malaysia: the Workshop on Design Thinking for Smart Cities, the International Conference on Sustainable Smart Cities (ICSS), and the final project meeting of the SCALe Project.

The activities were hosted at the Imperial Hotel and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Campus 2. During the ICSS, Associate Professor Nop Kanharith delivered a presentation titled “Conceptual Frameworks for the Development of Personal Data Protection Law in Cambodia’s Emerging Smart Cities.”

At the NUM School of Public Policy (SPP), we believe that education should transcend borders. Our Master of Science in Digital Economy is designed not only to build technical expertise but to provide our students with a global platform for research and professional development.

Today, we are proud to share a reflection from Mr. Mouniseyhak, a second-year student in our International Master's program. Currently participating in an academic exchange at the University of Vigo in Spain, Mouniseyhak shares how his international experience is shaping his worldview and providing vital inspiration for his thesis on public transportation systems.

Since joining the exchange program in Vigo, I have experienced a unique academic environment with numerous activities both inside and outside the classroom. These opportunities allow students to engage in learning more deeply, making the experience interactive and far more than just traditional lectures.

Beyond academics, living in a new environment and being part of an Erasmus group with people from diverse countries and cultures has shifted my habits and mindset. It has helped me become more open, adaptable, and confident in connecting with others. Experiencing different ways of life has also made me more aware of my own identity, motivating me to represent my country with pride and share Cambodian culture with people from all over the world.

One of the most meaningful aspects of my time here has been observing the local transportation system. With very little traffic and a high reliance on public transit, this experience aligns perfectly with my thesis topic. It has given me strong motivation to continue my research on public transportation in Cambodia. I hope that in the future, cities like Phnom Penh can develop efficient systems similar to those I have seen in Vigo and across Europe.

As part of the Family Business Center (FAB Center), we have established a connection with Associate Professor Dr. Shital Jayantilal from Universidade Portucalense in Portugal to explore research collaboration in the fields of family firms, SMEs, and entrepreneurship. We look forward to fruitful joint research between scholars from our universities.

On 1 April 2026, Assistant Prof. Kim Veara, Director of the ASEAN Economic Research Institute, served as a panelist in Session 6 on "Mobilizing International Partnerships for Sustainable Graduation (Key Focus Area 6)" at the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Mid-term Review of "The Doha Programme of Action for LDCs for the Decade 2022-2031".

The session discussed the importance of strengthening international partnerships, mobilizing sustainable financing, and enhancing cooperation to support Least Developed Countries in achieving a smooth and sustainable graduation.

On March 26, 2026, junior researchers from the NUM FAB Center of Excellence (NUM Family Business Center of Excellence) participated in Seminar 1 at Camboverse, NUM International Campus. This week’s seminar featured IBBA thesis teams applying Comparative Advantage Theory and Managerial Economics to their research, followed by discussions where they presented their insights.

The session also included a practice component, allowing students to apply these concepts directly to their thesis work. The NUM FAB Center of Excellence continues to support student researchers through academic guidance and industry engagement under the FAB Erasmus+ Project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

On March 26, 2026, the NUM Student Research Club held Week 10 of Seminar 1 at the CamboVerse Center, NUM International Campus. 

This week's seminar featured a presentations by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐡𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐞 (DE B2) on "𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫𝟕: 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬" from the book "𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬". The seminar also included a practice session, where iBBA students applied the concepts from the presentation to their thesis work.

The seminar wrapped up with presentations by research club members on their assigned tasks from the previous week.

The mission convened key government stakeholders, development partners, and technical experts to support the scoping and validation of the Foresight Roadmap, with focus on strengthening institutional coordination, enhancing foresight capacity, and advancing its practical implementation.

Participants of the Certificate Course on Policy and Program Evaluation (Round 3) completed Week 1 today at the NUM International Campus, focusing on 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝟏: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 & 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at the NUM International Campus (Vealsbov Campus) and Group Discussions. 

On March 19, 2026, junior researchers from the NUM FAB Center of Excellence presented their research progress during Seminar 1, held at the AERI Office, NUM International Campus.

This week’s session featured a thesis update by Mr. Long Kirivann and Mr. Phan Piseth (iBBA B4) on the topic: “Vulnerability of Micro-Merchants to Digital Payment Fraud Scams in Phnom Penh Local Markets.” The presentation was followed by constructive feedback and recommendations from the supervising professor.

On 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, a staff member from the 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 participated in the 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐓𝐎𝐓) on Environmental Education, Climate Change, and E-learning Systems held at 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐡 𝐒𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 in Phnom Penh.

The training was organized under the 𝐀-𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐘 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 to strengthen the capacity of educators in integrating environmental and climate change topics into their teaching through innovative and digital learning approaches. The program brought together teachers and project teams for interactive sessions, group discussions, and knowledge sharing on key topics such as climate change concepts, biodiversity conservation, sustainable food systems, and green economy.

Through this participation, AERI continues to support knowledge exchange and collaborative initiatives that promote sustainable development and environmental awareness among educators and youth.

This week's seminar featured a presentation from 𝐌𝐬. 𝐒𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐢𝐦 (𝐢𝐁𝐁𝐀 𝐁𝟒), who presented "𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟕: 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚" from the book "Introduction to Social Research," and a special lecture from Prof. 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐡 on "𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩."

The National University of Management will host the Opening Ceremony for 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝟑 of the Certificate Course on Policy and Program Evaluation 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at 𝐍𝐔𝐌 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 (𝐕𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐛𝐨𝐯).

This program is jointly organized by 𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 (𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚), with the 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐅 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚. Building on the success of previous rounds, the course continues to provide a platform for policymakers and professionals to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in monitoring and evaluation.

The Open Seminar on "Influence of Pollutants on Human Health and Animals" was successfully held on 2 March 2026 at the National University of Management.

Jointly organized with Kanazawa University, the seminar brought together distinguished professors, researchers, and students for an engaging morning of academic exchange.

The program featured insightful presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, and meaningful discussions on environmental pollution, human health, and ecosystem impacts.

On the morning of February 27, 2026, Researcher of the ASEAN Economic Research Institute and three students from the National University of Management attended the launch event "Vee Together - Driving Tourism Businesses in Cambodia" at the Rosewood Phnom Penh Hotel.

Particularly, as part of this project, NUM, via AERI, will contribute to tourism data analysis and the preparation of research reports.

The National University of Management, in collaboration with Kanazawa University, is pleased to announce a joint Open Seminar focusing on the impacts of environmental pollution on both human health and animal ecosystems.

As Cambodia continues to experience rapid economic growth and urban development, environmental challenges such as agro-chemical contamination, industrial waste, and urban pollution are becoming increasingly significant.

This seminar will feature research presentations by distinguished scholars from Japan, covering topics including marine pollution, fish immune defense mechanisms, human biomonitoring of environmental chemicals, and health risk assessment.

On 12 January 2026, researcher and academic staff from ASEAN Economic Research Institute, and student from the National University of Management attended the Info Session: Earn A UK Degree In China hosted by StudyIn at Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel. This session presented by Mr. Timothy Hubbard, Director of International Recruitment, showcased the University of Nottingham’s campus and academic programme in Ningbo, China.

On January 9, 2026, the NUM Student Research Club conducted Seminar 1 (Week 2) at the CamboVerse Center, NUM International Campus. 

This week seminar featured thesis proposal defense by 𝐈𝐁𝐁𝐀 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 supported by the 𝐍𝐔𝐌 𝐅𝐀𝐁 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, during which students presented their research objectives, methodologies, and expected contributions and received constructive feedback to strengthen their studies.

On 25 December 2025, the NUM Student Research Club held Seminar 1 at the CamboVerse Center, NUM International Campus. The session opened with guiding remarks by 𝐇.𝐄. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐠, Rector of NUM and Club President, emphasizing the value of research and skill development.  The seminar featured two student presentations—Introduction to Social Research by Mr. Phan Piseth (iBBA B4) and Nature and Scope of Managerial Economics by Mr. Va Mouniseyhak (SPP M2)—and concluded with a Special Lecture on Data Analysis with Excel: Module 1 by Professor Phim Runsinarith.

On 29 November 2025, 𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐰 (𝐂𝐃𝐋), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐔𝐌, in cooperation with the 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 and with 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐆𝐈𝐙, organized the 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐰.

Today’s workshop strengthened our understanding of 𝐂𝐁𝐀 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐬, the 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐰, and 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜, 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬. We also took part in a group exercise to identify key costs and benefits from the perspectives of 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬, and 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬 in the 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬.

Participants of the Certificate Course on Policy and Program Evaluation (Round 2) completed Week 4 today at the NUM International Campus, focusing on 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝟒: 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬.

Joined today’s education event hosted by StudyIn and the University of Strathclyde. It was a great afternoon of discussion and networking at Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel.

The project teams from 𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐈 participated in the 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐌𝐔𝐒+ 𝐂𝐁𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 held at 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, Philippines, on 20–21 November 2025.

The project teams from 𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐈 at the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, as key implementing partners of the CHAIn and UNICATION projects, were honored to support the 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐨𝐧 "𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧." The event was co-organized by MoEYS and NUM, with support from partner HEIs in Cambodia and Europe, and was held on 17–18 November 2025 at NUM.

The event featured a keynote by 𝐇.𝐄. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐨𝐦 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚, Secretary of State of MoEYS, who highlighted priorities of 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟖 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, together with contributions from national and international partners. The Dialogue brought together government representatives, university leaders, researchers, and international experts to explore ways to strengthen internationalization, quality assurance, and cross-border academic collaboration in Cambodia’s higher education sector.

Today, November 13, 2025, 𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈 & 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐈 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐬, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐔𝐌 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛, joined the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐊𝐀𝐂𝐏𝐄 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 at the 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐢-𝐋𝐚 𝐏𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐡. Our Director, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐊𝐢𝐦 𝐕𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚, served as the 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 for the event.

The symposium, themed “Advancing Together: Korea–ASEAN Strategic Alliance Toward ASEAN Vision 2045,” brought together senior policymakers, scholars, and researchers from Korea, ASEAN, and Australia to discuss key issues in sustainable smart innovation, strategic cooperation, and the future of Korea–ASEAN relations.

Today, November 10, 2025, researchers and staff from the AERI and the CERI participated in the 2nd CHAIn Training of Trainers Workshop held at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC).

The four-day workshop runs from November 10 to 14, 2025.

This morning, the NUM Student Research Club concluded its academic journey with a 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 & 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, graced by the honorable presence of 𝐇.𝐄. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐠, Rector of the National University of Management.

During the program, the 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 (𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈) delivered a presentation showcasing the ongoing research activities led in collaboration with the NUM Student Research Club, highlighting how student members actively participated in real field data collection missions.
